Day 08 of 30
Create A Repeatable Wake-Up
Today's goal
Consistency lowers decision fatigue.
Start here: the first 10 minutes
Drink water. Wash your face or brush your teeth. Open a curtain or step outside. If today is very hard, do only these three things and contact someone safe.
Why this matters
This is a small, repeatable action. Depression can make ordinary tasks feel huge; breaking them down can reduce avoidance and give you a concrete starting point.
Make it easier: If the full step feels too much, do a two-minute version. Stop and ask for support if needed.
Why this matters
Doing one specific task creates evidence of action, even if your mood has not changed. You are practising behaviour before waiting for motivation.

Why this matters
Closing the day deliberately makes it easier to notice what helped, what was hard and what support you might need tomorrow.

If 7 a.m. is unrealistic, choose 9-10 a.m. and protect consistency first.
Walk around your room, march gently on the spot, or sit and move your arms and legs.
It is not a test, punishment, or substitute for treatment. Move at a comfortable pace; if you have health limitations, adapt or skip it.
Eggs or yogurt with toast and fruit. Simple protein, carbohydrate and fruit help make eating achievable.
Eating something accessible is better than chasing a perfect menu.

Tonight — two minutes: (1) What did I try? (2) What got in the way? (3) What is one smaller version I could try tomorrow? No grading, no failure.
Did only part of it? Complete it anyway. Progress over perfection.
